Meet The Show:
Jared moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2nd grade and attended Guilford Middle School, Western Guilford High, GTCC, and UNCG! Jared served a 2-year mission for his church in South Africa and Botswana!
In 2012, he became the host of Jared and Katie in the Morning.
Jared is a huge fan of the Washington Commanders and the Carolina Tar Heels, and loves going to the movies! He has three wonderful kids, Ava, Eli, and Ezra! He can be found at a Chinese buffet near you!
Baby Katherine was born on the 4th of September in the mega-metropolis known as Washington DC but grew up among the Amish community in Pennsylvania until her 15th year of life (No, she’s not actually Amish but did grow up in a farmhouse and knows how to milk a cow and raise a barn in a day)
After an awkward teenage transition into 4 years of high school in North Carolina, Katie consistently found herself on academic probation at Appalachian State University, but graduated in a quick 5 years. It was in Boone that Katie found her true passions in life: booze, non-medical marijuana, bluegrass music (to which she dances barefoot), and bearded men. The hippie lifestyle felt like home, a nod to her near-Amish upbringing.
Katie’s life was forever changed when her now-husband Ben walked into her life -fairytale style (they met in a bar!) They married in October of 2014, welcomed a daughter named Nora in 2015, a son named Henry in 2016 –and their Chocolate Lab, Maizie, completes the family. Whew!! Over-achievers!
Katie prides herself on having champagne taste on a beer budget. She lives for all things Anthropologie, is a total foodie, and dreams of throwing adult dinner parties, complete with fine wine and artisan cheeses. Did she mention she loves wine?? Yeah, lots and lots of wine.
Matt began his broadcast career at High Point University, a small liberal arts university in North Carolina that has been described as “Disney World on Steroids”. After stumbling into the college radio station late one night, Matt and his friends became the hosts of “The Tuesday Night Juke,” which was the most popular show on the station among Matt’s small group of friends and fraternity brothers.
While at High Point, Matt became a party animal. He consumed enough alcohol; his major should have been Mixology.
Matt started working with Jared and Katie in the Morning in April of 2014. Putting his Master’s Degree to good use, Matt has since gotten a Brazilian wax, posed nude as Kim Kardashian, and seen another man completely naked. His family, loving mother, and wonderful wife Hannah are so proud.
Matt loves working in radio, but his career does not stop there. Matt DJs weddings and events, and considers himself a “Big Foodie” on social media, reviewing the best BBQ sandwiches in the state! Matt loves to travel with his wife, who is a travel agent, and his son Wyatt. All-inclusive resorts? For sure! Disney World? You betcha! The beach? Tell him when!
When he is not traveling or working, you can find Matt coaching his son’s baseball team, relaxing on the couch, or watching football!
Jason Goodman proudly has a “limited filter,” so you are never left wondering what he is thinking! He has several odd theories that he claims come from the “Goodman Institute” and talks about the “popsicle theory” and the “oven theory” that confuse people, even himself most of the time.
Jason has a wife, Carol, 3 kids, Ruthie, Landon, and Everly, and a VERY well-trained Bulldog named Brady.
Growing up in Rhode Island, naturally, Jason is RUDE!!! Just kidding, we mean a huge New England Patriots fan. Due to his short stature and being a Patriots fan, he is also lovingly referred to as “The Littlest Patriot.”
Jason has an odd talent of being able to recognize and identify songs in record time from all years of music…seriously, even as old as Frankie Vallie! He has a passion for grilling, cornehole, warm weather, cornhole, outdoor cookouts, casinos, traveling out of the country, cornhole, food from all cultures, and doing projects at and around his home. Oh, and did we mention he likes cornhole? Jason is as competitive as they come and will fight tooth and nail for what and who he loves and is passionate about.

The program officially debuted on Saturday, July 18, 2026, and will air Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
