Hope For The Warriors will host its 18th Annual Jacksonville Run For The Warriors, First Mile and Trunk or Treat, presented by Sport Durst Subaru, Friday, October 17 from 5 – 7 p.m.. The free, family-friendly event will take place outside Hope For The Warriors office located at 3313 Henderson Dr. in Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Run For The Warriors will feature the First Mile, a free 1-mile walk or run at 5:30 p.m. Registration is requested. The goal of the First Mile is to provide the spirit and motivation to carry on, to take the first step — to embrace life and its challenges. It is a reminder of what our country’s warriors embark upon after leaving service, whether it’s finding a civilian job, reconnecting with family, or recovering from physical or mental trauma.
The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Hope For The Warriors will host its annual trunk or treat at the event and will include family-friendly activities such as a bounce house, inflatable obstacle course, lawn games, face painting, food/drinks and more.
Zing Zumm Children’s Museum will be hosting a tent with crafts for children. Other vendors with giveaways will include CVS Health, Muddy Crawlers Jeeps, Funnel Luv LLC Food Truck, Sport Durst Subaru, Evergreen Prosthetics & Orthotics, Gold’s Gym, Johnson Funeral Home, Military Family Advisory Network, Navy Federal, WRNS-FM, Hope For The Warriors, Steven A.
