March 15th - Go for the Gold 5k
Go for the Gold 5k is a St. Patrick's Day themed race for all ages and fitness levels. Get decked out in green, gold, and shamrocks and get ready to have some fun! It is only $20 to register in advance and $25 on race day. The race will be held at Croatan High School. Registration starts at 8:15 AM and the race starts at 9:30 AM. March 27-29 - "Cinderella"

March 29th - Charity Poker Run
The Dissident Sons Motorcycle Club is hosting a Charity Poker run for a local child, Emma, who is battling Spinal Muscular Atrophy. All proceeds will go to Emma in support of her medical needs. The event will include a silent auction, raffles, and a 50/50 drawing. The run starts and ends at Hooters of Jacksonville at 463 Western Blvd. Registration starts at 9 AM with kickstands up at 11AM. April 5th - Superhero 5k
The Superhero 5K Race/Walk for Child Abuse Prevention & Kid’s Fun Run is on Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the scenic River Landing community. Its purpose is to raise money in support of advocacy for abused and neglected children. Costumes are encouraged. Sign up or donate by clicking here.
April 5th - Cindy's Rainbow Sarcoma Awareness Ride
In memory of Cindy Sills, this Jeep Ride supports the Miles 2 Give 2014 effort. Proceeds will go to Miles 2 Give 2014 for research and better treatment that will hopefully lead to a cure of this rare type of cancer that is more common in children than adults. The Jeep Ride takes place April 5th. Registration starts at 9AM at Mike Toler's Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram in Morehead City. It is $20 for Rider and $10 for Passenger. Wheels roll at 11 AM for a ride and festivities at Fort Macon Park. Hotdogs and refreashments will be served at the beach access area. There will be 50/50 drawings and door prizes as weel as live performances by Bryan Mayer.
April 12th - Extreme Warrior Mud Run
The Extreme Warrior Mud Run is a 7k obstacle course at Busco Beach & ATV Park in Goldsboro, NC on April 12, 2014. A portion of registration will benefit Operation Warm Heart at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. This 7k obstacle course run will have wicked obstacles and of course lots of mud pits that are sure to be challenging, but rewarding. April 13th -Emerald Isle Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt & Festivities will take place on Sunday, April 13th at Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation beginning at 12PM. Join BOB 93.3 and the E.I. Bunny at noon for festivities including sidewalk chalking, face painting, music, and more! This year children between the ages of 9 and 12 will participate in the first Scavenger Egg Hunt at 12:30PM. The Scavenger Hunt will take place around the Community Center grounds. Children of this age group should meet by the gymnasium doors no later than 12:30PM to be assigned to a group and to receive all instructions. Easter treats for everyone but there will be a Grand Prize for the first team to complete the hunt! There will be two more groups of egg hunters, 3 and under, and 4 to 8 to start at 1PM. There is no fee to participate in the egg hunt. Prizes will be awarded in each age group for the person(s) finding the E.I. Bunny's prize eggs. The E.I. Bunny himself will be on hand for photographs and to award the prizes. Everyone is invited! No registration required!
May 3rd - Jacksonville Jamboree
Jacksonville Jamboree is a three day event Friday through Sunday at the Jacksonville Commons. Statewide sports competitions run throughout the Jamboree and include softball, baseball, basketball, skateboard, tennis, and BMX. Saturday is the day for musical entertainment, the annual "Jacksonville's Got Talent" competition as well as food and marketplace vendors. Demonstrations from local organizations as well as children's activity and play area make the Jacksonville Jamboree a well rounded event for the family.
May 30-31st - Carteret County Relay for Life
The Relay For Life of Carteret County is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease.
