October 22nd- Tres Vidas
Wilson Community College celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month with the Core Ensemble performance of the chamber music theater work, Tres Vidas. Tres Vidas celebrates life, times, and work of three significant Latin and South American Women: painter Frida Kahlo of Mexico, peasant activist Rufina Amaya of El Salvador, and poet Alfonsina Storni of Argentina. The event is FREE and OPEN to the public and will start at 6:30pm at the DelMastro Auditorium at the Wilson Community College Campus. More info click here.
A day of family fun including live music, children activities, amusement rides and games, food and beverage court, beer garden and mouthwatering bratwurst, arts and crafts, vendors, exhibits and a veterans services area. Attendance over 8,000 and more than 120 vendors.

Oct 25 12:00 PM at Lowes of East Greenville. Promote fire safety awareness & encourage residents to change the batteries in their smoke detectors when they change to daylight saving time. A family-friendly event with demonstrations, give-a-ways and more.
October 25th- "The Golden Age of Hollywood, Music of the Movies"
Enjoy hors d'oeurves, beer, and wine from 6:30-7:30 PM. Cash bar after 7:30PM. Great show at the Carteret Community Theater featuring Gay Willis, Laurence Stith, Ann Street United Methodist Church Choir, West Carteret H.S. Choir and dance studio students!
October 25th- Anti-bully Rally to Raise Money for Alyssa Colclough's Funeral
There will be an Anti-Bullying Rally from 12p-4p at Wizards in Ayden to raise money for funeral expenses for Alyssa Colclough. There will be food for purchase, auction, and items for sale to assist the Colclough family with funeral expenses. Donations also accepted.
October 29-30th- Trick or Treat Under the Sea
The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores offers a bewitching evening of sweets and treats with the annual Trick or Treat Under the Sea, aka TOTUS, on the evenings of Wednesday, Oct. 29 and Thursday, October 30. Tickets will be available at the door from 4:30-7:30 PM each night. $11 per person; $9.90 for members; ages 2 and under are free. More info click here.

Open exclusively to Veterans and active duty military from 9-10AM; and open to all job seekers from 10AM-2PM at the Morehead City Train Depot.
November 22nd- Cancer Awareness Turkey Trot

December 6th- WinterFest
Free Admission and Parking! December 6, 2014 from 2-8PM at Riverwalk Park, 421 Court Street in downtown Jacksonville. Winterfest is a celebration of the season. This festive event has children’s games, ice sculptures, holiday entertainment, food, pony, hay and train rides. Children an have their picture taken with Santa and visit Santa's Workshop. Highlights include sledding with real snow, the annual tree lighting and spectacular Flotilla on the New River.
December 13th- Morehead City Annual Christmas Parade
Parade begins at 11AM in the 1700 block of Arendell St. and ends at 8th Street.
December 14th- Craven Smart Start's Holiday Hustle 5k
Craven Smart Start will be hosting the "Holiday Hustle." The hustle will offer several run options including the Jingle Bell Jog 5k, Tinsel 10k and the 1 Mile Santa's Family Fun Run. This event will begin at Union Point Park at 8:00am. Join us in "Giving Kids a Running Start!" Registration is $25 per person.
