April 18th- Free Shred-A-Thon
The Southern Bank office located at 121 East Main St in Mt Olive is hosting a free shred event on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This event is free to the public and all participants will be allowed to shred up to 80 pounds of their sensitive documents for free! April 15th-16th- Worship & Wisdom Conference
Bishop Rosie S. O’neal and the Koinonia Christian Center Church family invite you to join us for a Worship & Wisdom Conference on Wednesday, April 15th and Thursday, April 16th at 7pm nightly. The conference will be held at Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum, East Carolina University. April 24-25- Relay for Life
Grover C. Fields Middle School in New Bern will once more host the Relay for Life. This is a family-friendly overnight fundraising event that brings a community together to raise awareness of those who have been touched by cancer. During this event there will be participants walking the track from Opening Ceremony until the Closing Ceremony.Opening Ceremony will begin at 7pm with survivors/caregivers (those who have had cancer and a loved one who helped to take care of them.) At 9pm we light the track for the Luminary Ceremony to honor and remember loved ones. More info click here.

Let’s G.O., Let’s Get Outside in Williamston’s Downtown Park! The Let’s G.O. event will be held from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday April 25th and features games, activities, and prizes for all ages! Let’s G.O. is free of charge and participants include the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the US Fish & Wildlife Service, the Albemarle Pamlico National Estuary Partnership, the Sierra Club, local outfitters, and more. Have you ever wanted to learn about local kayaking or biking trails? Do you want to teach your children more about nature? Do you want to get in shape this year? If so, this event is for you! May 5th- 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band's 2015 Spring Concert
The 2nd MAW Band's 2015 Spring concert series touring in eastern North Carolina, will be coming to Wilmington, May 5th, at 7 p.m. The concert features patriotic and standard concert band literature. May 16th- 2015 Craven County Alzheimers NC WalkLace up your shoes for food, Zumba, demos and fun!! Join Craven County and Alzheimers North Carolina on Saturday, May 16th, in walking to support families dealing with Alzheimers or other related dementias. The walk will start at 8:30 a.m. at Union Point Park Stage in New Bern, N.C. A minimum of a $20 donation is needed to recieve a Walk T-shirt.
